Instead of requiring that the [entire dwelling be retrofitted](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-management-system) with the console, the WigWag system instead uses [individual sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqara-smart-home-devices) to provide as much or as little automation in your life as desired. Want to receive a text or a call if there's motion inside your home? Want the lights inside your home to dim when the sun sets? The WigWag system can do these things in addition to dozens of others, which means that [automation on-demand](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triggs-ai) is now a reality. A variety of different sensors can be incorporated into the WigWag system to provide an experience that's custom tailored, simple and -- above all -- functional. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Selective Home Automation:** The WigWag system offers customized and easily accessible home automation, allowing individuals to automate aspects of their homes on-demand. - **Individual Sensor Systems:** The WigWag system utilizes individual sensors for home automation, providing a sophisticated and expandable system for businesses to develop and market. - **Modular Systems:** The WigWag system's modular design allows for easy expansion and customization for future integration and innovation. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Smart Home Technology:** The WigWag system is positioned to compete in the smart home technology market, providing an option for individual and tailor-made home automation solutions. - **Telecommunications:** Telecommunication companies can leverage the WigWag system's individual sensors to expand into home automation and smart home technology services. - **Home Security:** The WigWag system offers customizable home security solutions, which presents opportunities for businesses to integrate and innovate within the home security industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dedicated Smart Home Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-automation-control-pad.md) - [Aftermarket Home Automation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-automation-switch.md) - [Advanced Smart Home Interfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-interfaces.md) - [Physical Smart Home Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flic-twist.md) - [AI-Powered WiFi Security Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-alarm-system.md) - [Low-Cost Smart Light Switches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-switch.md) - [Accessible Smart Home Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-smartthings-station.md) - [Smart Home Controller Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/universal-remote-controller.md) - [Smart Home Management Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-management-system.md)
