The installation features fibre walls that have [paper pieces of art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-for-papirkunst) that are affixed onto each section. What's created is somewhat of an optical illusion because the relatively modest-sized installation looks like a house. Each of the walls is emblazoned with vibrantly flamboyant designs that would certainly entrance anyone if their home were covered in them. Preijde is a recent graduate of the [Textile Design Department](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/williamssonoma-greenrow) at the [Royal Academy of Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wip-windmill-in-play), which gives us a little bit of insight into the mind of the designer. Only a true textile master could create such an exquisite exhibit that is sure to please people of all ages. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Innovative Wallpaper Installations:** As more artists experiment with different forms of interior design, there is an opportunity for wallpaper companies to collaborate with them to produce unique, artistic, and imaginative wallpaper designs. - **Sustainable Wallpaper Design:** As environmental concerns heighten, there is an opportunity for wallpaper manufacturers to explore eco-friendly, biodegradable, and recyclable materials for the creation of wallpaper products. - **Augmented Reality Wallpaper:** As technology advances, there is an opportunity for wallpaper companies to create augmented reality wallpaper designs that can be customized and changed based on individuals' preferences and moods. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design Industry:** With creative wallpaper installations becoming popular, there is an opportunity for interior designers to incorporate more wallpaper designs in their work to create unique and striking interiors. - **Textile Industry:** As shown by Preijde's work, there is an opportunity for textile manufacturers to explore innovative ways to showcase their textile designs in interior design and create more engaging textile-based installations. - **Technology Industry:** With the potential for augmented reality wallpaper designs, there is an opportunity for technology companies to collaborate with wallpaper manufacturers to create new products that leverage AR technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artist-Approved Intricate Wallpaper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/printed-decors.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md) - [Folk Art-Inspired Wallpapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/backdrop.md) - [Graphic Wallpaper Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-surfaces.md) - [Breathtaking Woven Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-installation.md) - [Painting-Inspired Wallpaper Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portals-collection.md) - [Marble-Patterned Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychedelic-interior.md) - [Vibrantly Bold Wallpaper Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otto-studio.md)
