# Security Cam Lamps 'Who is Watching You' Shines a Light on the Issue of Privacy By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-08-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/who-is-watching-you References: [blog.leibal](http://blog.leibal.com/products/lighting/watching/) & [allt.sk](http://www.allt.sk/?page=Work&id=who-is-watching-you) Inspired by the iconic and intrusive look of modern [urban CCTV cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-surveillance), the 'Who is Watching You' light fixture enlightens more than your office and living room. This representational design spotlights the topic of individuals' privacy. Naturally, by bringing one of these [wall and table lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tap-tap-table-lamp) into your home, you do not necessarily have to have a strong opinion on the matter at all. The point of incorporating one into your interior design might just be to add a little intrigue to the aesthetic of your family room -- or perhaps to scare off snoopers by installing one in your study. As with its [video-recording counterpart](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tplink-tapo-c615f-kit), the ALLT Design 'Who is Watching You' light functions best when it's pointed right at you. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Privacy Lighting:** 'Who is Watching You' light fixture brings attention to the issue of privacy through its design. - **Intrusive Design:** The iconic look of urban CCTV cameras inspires the design of the 'Who is Watching You' light fixture. - **Surveillance Aesthetics:** The light fixture incorporates the aesthetic of surveillance cameras into interior design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The 'Who is Watching You' light fixture offers a unique and intriguing addition to interior design. - **Security Systems:** The design of the light fixture taps into the concept of surveillance and privacy, making it relevant for the security industry. - **Lighting Design:** The 'Who is Watching You' light fixture introduces a new and disruptive design approach to the lighting industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Privacy-Focused Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visio-wifi-camera-concept.md) - [Dual-Purpose Camera-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nostalgian-floor-lamp-clock.md) - [Camera-Equipped Porch Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wired-wall-light-cam.md) - [Face Mask-Made Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anonymlux-lamp.md) - [Decor-Inspired Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-home-camera.md) - [All-in-One Security Camera Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-cam-floodlight-v2.md) - [Security Camera Smart Bulbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-bulb-cam.md) - [Nature-Friendly Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reli-light-cam-d1.md) - [Novel Home Security Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-concept.md)
