# Crisp Angular Illuminators The White Sleen Lamp is Perfectly Propped in its Ceramic Stand By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-12-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/white-sleen-lamp References: [leibal](http://leibal.com/products/white-sleen/) & [tes-ted](http://www.tes-ted.com/index.php/en/work/art-design/item/24-white-sleen-light) The purpose of the White Sleen Lamp is not merely to provide illumination to a work surface, but to inspire with its poised appearance. Best appreciated by the design-minded -- no doubt -- this purist piece expresses the beauty of geometry, the magic of balance and the style of sculpture. Antoine Tesquier Tedeschi of Paris built this desk lamp up with a solid ceramic base. This anchor is rectilinear and irregularly formed with a gaping notch in its middle. The slender wooden stick that becomes the spine of the light fixture can be tucked easily into this opening and angled according to preference. The top of the handmade White Sleen Lamp takes a trapezoidal shape, enabling the outward spread of bright beams across one's work surface. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Geometric Lighting:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to develop lighting fixtures that incorporate geometric shapes and designs, appealing to design-minded individuals. - **Adjustable Desk Lamps:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create desk lamps with adjustable angles and positions, providing flexibility for users to customize their lighting experience. - **Handmade Artistic Lamps:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to produce handmade lamps that combine functionality with artistic aesthetics, appealing to those who appreciate unique and visually appealing pieces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can benefit from incorporating geometric lighting fixtures into their projects, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of spaces. - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore the creation of adjustable desk lamps that seamlessly blend into different furniture styles, offering both functionality and design cohesiveness. - **Artisanal Craftsmanship:** The artisanal craftsmanship industry can tap into the demand for handmade artistic lamps, offering customers unique and one-of-a-kind lighting options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek Rechargeable Marbled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solid-table-light.md) - [Sculpted Wooden Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood-desk-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leda.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Demure Designer Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-desk-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Workstation Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-lamp-concept.md) - [Zen Workstation Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bonsai-desk-lamp.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md) - [Minimalist Tech Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20.md)
