The home adheres to the hilly topography of the site with a series of levels. The [all-white facade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nyori) further emphasizes the home's simple, sculptural form. To reduce the maintenance duties required of the clients, the facade has also been coated with an protective, algae-resistant layer. The home appears to be taller at one end; this is due to a vertical block. The lofty volume is home to an extensive library that spans over two floors. In order to optimize for natural light, the architects inserted the majority of the home's terraces, glazing and sliding doors on the southern side of the facade. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **All-white Architecture:** Architects and designers are exploring the use of all-white facades in residential and commercial buildings, emphasizing simple sculptural forms. - **Integration with Natural Landscape:** Designers are prioritizing the integration of buildings with natural landscapes, using the site's topography to inform the building's shape and layout. - **Algae-resistant Coatings:** Innovative coatings are being developed to reduce maintenance requirements for building facades, including algae-resistant coatings that can protect against environmental damage. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture and Design:** Architects and designers can offer new solutions for clients by exploring the trend of all-white buildings and incorporating natural landscapes into the design. - **Construction and Building Materials:** Companies that manufacture construction materials can meet the demand for algae-resistant coatings that promote sustainable building practices. - **Real Estate and Property Management:** Real estate companies can invest in properties that prioritize natural light and landscape integration, appealing to consumers who prioritize environmentally conscious living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact White-Painted Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whitepainted-modern-home.md) - [Refined Modern Dwellings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silver-house.md) - [Sleek Modular German Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-anton-ii.md) - [Serene Heartwarming Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-minimale.md) - [Monochromatic Minimal Cozy Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaulted-monochrome-haus.md) - [Snow Mountain Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowfall-house.md) - [Hillside Embedded Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-slope.md) - [Faceted Cedar Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-house-on-a-hill.md) - [Hillside Family Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-bm.md)
