Created by a group of architecture students in California, the WHITE project is an [interactive art installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape) that is moveable, malleable and climbable. Filling an entire gallery space, the fabricated art piece is constructed from a series of [cut and woven strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olga-de-amaral) of plastic sheathing.

Merged together to create overlapping panels, this sculptural piece explores the relationship between materiality and space. Made to resemble an organic, cave-like environment, the piece's materiality is reminiscent of a netted hammock.

The WHITE project combines the mind power of 20 [California Polytechnic State University](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-and-space-center) students. Created to inform and educate visitors, this massive art installation is 7432 square meters in length, making it an artful and imaginative makeshift habitat for design-loving visitors.
