The movablity factor makes this bench a better item for an enclosed backyard than an [open public space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-furniture-concept). It would be too much of a temptation for ‘barrow-bandits’ to resist. Still, it’s a clever design. Diagrams for construction are on the designer’s website. They’re not too complex, so even if you don’t read Dutch, you should be able to figure them out. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Mobile Seating:** Designing moveable seating options for outdoor spaces can provide opportunities for innovation in functionality and aesthetics. - **DIY Furniture:** Encouraging DIY furniture construction through simplified design diagrams can open up opportunities for self-sufficiency and creativity. - **Garden Accessibility:** Developing easily movable outdoor furniture options can make gardens and other outdoor spaces more accessible for people with mobility impairments or commutes. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Improvement:** The home improvement industry can innovate on the design and functionality of outdoor seating and furniture, making it more adaptable and convenience for consumers. - **Gardening and Landscaping:** Gardening and landscaping companies have the opportunity to expand their offerings to include accessible and movable seating solutions for their clients. - **Construction:** Construction companies can utilize simplified furniture design diagrams to provide an added service for their clients, giving them the tools to create their own functional outdoor furniture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bike-Friendly Outdoor Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinajarro-bench.md) - [Dual-Seated Plate Aluminum Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/move-a-little-bit-further.md) - [Modular Outdoor Space Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mass-public-bench.md) - [Seesaw-Like Playful Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balance-bench.md) - [Adaptable Outdoor Seat Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monom-seater-concept.md) - [Sculptural Gravity Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-bench.md) - [Rotating Solar-Powered Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-solarpowered-bench-that-spins-ever-so-slowly.md) - [Multifunctional Park Picnic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-picnic-furniture.md) - [Chic Recycled Aluminum Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bello-bench.md)
