Designed to securely wrap around your skateboard wheels without causing any friction, the Longboard Wheel Shields prevent [water from splashing upward](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vans-old-skool-premium-goretex) when you ride through a puddle and will even prevent [debris from getting caught](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crep-protect-3) to ensure you can ride in a variety of different conditions. Installing easily onto existing equipment, the Longboard Wheel Shields are made from aircraft aluminum for an extra level of durability to ensure they won't warp or bend during rides. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **All-weather Skateboarding:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced materials that provide all-weather protection for skateboarding gear. - **Gear Protection:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative accessories that shield sports equipment from damage and extend their lifespan. - **Easy Installation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design user-friendly accessories that can be easily installed onto existing equipment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Sports Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce new technologies and materials to improve the durability and functionality of sports equipment. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative products that enhance outdoor activities and enable people to enjoy them in different weather conditions. - **Extreme Sports:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore innovative solutions that improve the safety and performance of extreme sports equipment and accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rainproof Wheelchair Shells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobidry.md) - [Aftermarket Stroller Wheel Skis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wheelblades-xl-stroller-skis.md) - [Shockproof Wheel Covers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caster-shoes.md) - [Vehicular Rim Protection Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/protectiq-pro-by-rimiq.md) - [Two-Wheeled Surfing-Inspired Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surf-skateboard.md) - [Ruggedized Rollable Bicycle Mudguards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bicycle-mudguard.md) - [Weatherproof Skateboard Sneakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vans-lx-old-skool-36-goretex.md) - [Motorized Inline Skate Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/escend-blades.md) - [Floor-Protecting Chair Wheels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/replacement-chair-wheels.md)
