A stunning home decor piece made entirely out of glass, it is comprised of approximately 300 stalks of [hand-pulled glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-hill-farm). Designed by Jean-Pierre Canlis, the Wheat Glass Installation does make, as his website observes, "a [dramatic, yet subtle, statement](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light)." Conveniently, the Seattle, Washington-based artist can adjust the height of the stalks to accommodate any home or decor placement. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nature-inspired Decor:** The trend of using natural elements as inspiration for home decor provides opportunities for innovative design and sustainable practices. - **Hand-crafted Glass Art:** Glass artists creating unique and stunning pieces by hand are tapping into the growing market for artisanal products. - **Customizable Home Accessories:** Designers creating home decor that can be easily modified to fit individual homes and customer preferences offer a personalized touch to a traditional market. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Glass Art:** Glass artists creating unique pieces and using non-traditional techniques are disrupting the traditional market for home decor. - **Sustainable Home Decor:** Designers who are using natural materials and sustainable practices to create beautiful and functional home decor are addressing growing consumer demand for eco-friendly products. - **Luxury Home Accessories:** Companies that provide customizable and luxurious home accessories that can be tailored to individual homes and customer preferences are tapping into a high-end market of design-conscious consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interwoven Nature Screen Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-house.md) - [Wabi-Sabi-Informed Green Glassware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-glassware.md) - [Geometric Outdoor Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colored-glass-wind-chime.md) - [Glass Philosophical Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-ridge.md) - [Resin Gravity Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree.md) - [Glass Geometry Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-collection.md) - [Reflective Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-caviar.md) - [Petal-Inspired Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloom-wall-light.md) - [Elegant Crystalline Decor Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ensemble.md)
