Going by the name, the design was inspired by one of the largest and most graceful underwater animals. This shows in Schuka's aesthetic design choices for the sofa. The piece is [grand but maintains a soft subtlety](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poet-sofa). It could be the [smooth, continuous lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smooth-sofa) or the [atypical shape of the piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reimagined-everyday-sofa).
