Supported by a light-weight, [geometric frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solis-collection), the furniture piece embodies a [minimalist design aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-coffee-tables). The table's hand-inlaid bone-tile top measures 28 inches in diameter and sits atop its wireframe base. The 18 inch high furniture piece is a great side table option for modern living rooms or a compact night table fit for cozy bedrooms in need or a decor boost. Made in India, the West Elm Origami Coffee Table is constructed using a mix of engineered wood, natural bone tile and steel material that are fused together to create its stunning design. While the minimalist table takes visual inspiration from the art of origami, the heaviness of its tiled top contrasts its geometric base. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Japanese-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity for creating furniture designs that embrace the minimalist aesthetics of Japanese art. - **Geometric Frame Structures:** Innovative use of lightweight and geometric structures in furniture design for a modern and sleek look. - **Mixing Materials:** Combining different materials in furniture construction to create visually stunning and unique designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to create minimalist and visually striking designs inspired by Japanese art and using lightweight materials. - **Interior Design:** Innovative use of geometric frame structures in interior design to create visually appealing and modern spaces. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to offer unique and visually striking furniture pieces that combine different materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Slender Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table.md) - [Minimalist Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-coffee-table1.md) - [Ultra-Minimalist Metallic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whisk.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Paper-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-coffee-table.md) - [Dynamic Strong Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharp-table.md) - [Bent Steel Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creu-coffee-table.md) - [Self-Operating Sand Artwork Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origin-coffee-table.md) - [Impactful Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/to-steel-side-table.md)
