The chair combines a [weighing scale](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-ultra-bodyscan) and a seat in one design. The aesthetics of the seat resemble that of a normal scale, but with legs. They should have these seats at all open buffet restaurants. Maybe when you see how much [weight you are putting on](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-scale-ultra) right then and there, you'd cut down on the gluttony. I'm sure the restaurant will find a decrease in the consumption of food. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Weighing Seat:** The integration of weighing scales into seating designs creates opportunities for health-conscious consumers to track their weight in a convenient and unobtrusive way. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** The combination of different functionalities in furniture designs, such as combining a weighing scale and a chair, provides innovative solutions for space-saving and practical furniture options. - **Health Monitoring Furniture:** The incorporation of health monitoring features in furniture, like weighing scales in chairs, allows users to seamlessly integrate wellness tracking into their daily routines. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** The fusion of innovative functionalities, like integrating weighing scales into seating designs, enables furniture designers to create unique and marketable products. - **Health and Wellness:** The integration of health monitoring features into everyday objects, such as chairs with built-in weighing scales, presents opportunities for the health and wellness industry to offer holistic solutions. - **Restaurant and Hospitality:** The adoption of weighing seats in open buffet restaurants provides opportunities for businesses to promote healthier eating habits and empower customers to make more conscious food choices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Size-Inclusive Weight Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wide-base-weight-scale.md) - [Skateboard-Inspired Body Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skateboard-scale.md) - [Ultra-Minimal Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedeo-chair.md) - [Portable Minimalist Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bifur.md) - [Smart-Designed Body Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartdesigned-body-scale.md) - [Two-Part Kitchen Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-weighing-scale.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Artfully Balanced Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfway-serious.md) - [Anatomical Lounge Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himalaya-pelvis-chair.md)
