As weddings can be immensely costly, this new option gives couples the chance to order a pre-made "dummy" cake, complete with a top tier that can be sliced into for the purposes of the ceremony, eating and photo-taking. After it is used, the cake can be returned to Le Dolci so that it can be reused, providing couples on a small budget with the chance to enjoy an [extravagantly decorated cake](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artful-cake) that might otherwise be way out of budget. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Rentable Wedding Cakes:** Rentable wedding cakes offer a cost-saving alternative for couples on a budget. - **Wedding Budget Optimization:** New wedding cake rental services help couples save money on their big day. - **Reusable Wedding Decor:** Returning rented cakes allows for cost-effective and sustainable wedding cake options. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bakery:** Bakeries can capitalize on the demand for rentable wedding cakes by offering these services to budget-conscious couples. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can explore wedding cake rental as a way to optimize wedding budgets and offer unique cake options. - **Sustainability:** Rentable wedding cakes contribute to sustainable practices by reusing cake designs, reducing waste, and lowering production costs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [TV-Inspired Dessert Deliveries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bridgerton.md) - [Wedding Pizza Promotions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-hut-6.md) - [Cheese Wheel Wedding Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowshill-cheese-wedding-cake.md) - [Lobster Roll Wedding Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lobster-roll-wedding-cakes.md) - [Cherry Blossom Crepe Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crepe-cake1.md) - [Robotic Wedding Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robocake.md) - [Wedding Guest Outfit Rentals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/by-rotation-and-airbnb.md) - [All-Occasion Layered Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cake.md) - [Elegant Cake Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flourless-dark-chocolate.md)
