It might be inspired by a spider's web, but there is a cocoon quality about it that allows it to act as a [beautiful symbol for metamorphosis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp) as well. Stunningly ethereal, the Webster Pendant Lamp provides a delicate touch to any living space. Designed by Jerry Mejia, the Webster Pendant Lamp is impressively made out entirely of hot-glue strands by way of a dab-and-stretch technique that requires a whole lot of patience and perseverance. Taking the soft and subtle shape of a sphere thanks to strategically placed wires, the Webster Pendant Lamp glows romantically. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hot-glue Artistry:** Hot-glue strands used as a creative material for artistic designs offer disruptive innovation opportunities for home decor and interior design. - **Metamorphic Symbolism:** Designs inspired by metamorphosis, like the Webster Pendant Lamp, create opportunities for unique and meaningful product offerings in the home decor industry. - **Delicate Illumination:** Innovative lighting solutions that provide a delicate and ethereal glow can transform the ambiance of living spaces, opening doors for innovation in lighting design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Crafts:** The art and crafts industry can explore the use of hot-glue strands as a new creative material to produce unique and visually stunning pieces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can embrace the concept of metamorphic symbolism to develop products that add a touch of meaning and elegance to interior spaces. - **Lighting Design:** Innovations in lighting design that prioritize delicate illumination can revolutionize the way people experience and decorate their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Fishnet-Made Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-mycreation-droplet-lamp.md) - [Stealthy Pendant Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warp-lamp.md) - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md) - [Recycled Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zbozhzha-pendant-light.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Posh Paper Craft-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/japandi-lamp.md) - [Intricate Sculptural Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nova-pendant-light.md) - [Exquisite Textured Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendant-lamp1.md)
