Hand sanitizer has become commonplace but acts as a downstream solution after unwanted germs or bacteria might have been encountered, so the Wave by UV-C Labs is positioned as a way to eradicate pathogens before exposure.

The device works by being attached onto the rear of a smartphone and will connect wirelessly to the device to let users choose what kind of surface or item they are looking to sanitize. The device will then go to work activating the built-in UVC lights to eradicate 99.7% of the germs, bacteria and viruses that could be lurking on the surface.

The Wave by UV-C Labs device is focused on everyday sanitization needs and will features a rechargeable battery rated for 100 uses per charge.
