The 'Okanagan Lakeshore Home' does a beautiful job fusing different design styles together yet keeping it all harmonious by emphasizing the [nautical theme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/three-mile-harbor) the most. The 7,572 square feet waterfront home in British Columbia, Canada, is built right on the lake and boasts a [boat house bar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boathouse-zuka), an extensive boardwalk and dock structure. But the most unique aspect of the home has got to be the interior, which came to life with the help of designer Paul Nesbitt. The spacious house has six bedrooms and is perfect for entertaining guests. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nautical-inspired Design:** Opportunity to incorporate nautical elements into various interior and architectural designs. - **Waterfront Living:** Demand for homes built near bodies of water, offering a serene and picturesque lifestyle. - **Multifunctional Spaces:** Design and utilize spaces that can cater to different needs and activities within a home. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to create nautical-inspired interior spaces for homes, hotels, and businesses. - **Real Estate:** Opportunity to develop and market waterfront properties for both residential and commercial purposes. - **Home Construction:** Opportunity to design and build homes with multifunctional spaces to accommodate various lifestyle needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Thoughtful Lakeside Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakeside-living.md) - [Discrete Lakeside Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palissade.md) - [Beachy Tonal Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/falken-reynolds.md) - [Modern Floating Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pura-vida-floating-home.md) - [Meadow-Overlooking Sleek Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac-1.md) - [Cedar-Clad L-Shaped Beach Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ospreys-landing.md) - [Recycling-Centric Waterfront Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shor-house.md) - [Nature-Connecting Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-lake.md) - [Pavilion-Style Lakeside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clearwater-lake-retreat.md)
