Rather than leaving out a muggy bowl or worrying about refills, pet owners can sit back and relax with this [sensor-activated dispenser](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ice-and-water-dispenser). The smart sonar sensor recognizes when your pup has approached the fountain, automatically turning the tap on to allow [fresh water to flow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qinliy-cat-water-fountain) outwards. The WaterDog drinking fountain also turns off right after it senses the absence of your beloved pooch. All you need to do is hook this up to an ordinary outdoor faucet and let the device work its magic. Keep your puppy refreshed all summer long with the handy, sensor-driven WaterDog fountain. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Automatic Pet Drinking Fountains:** Developing automatic pet drinking fountains can revolutionize the pet care industry with a focus on improving pet hygiene, convenience, and health. - **Smart Sensors for Pet Care:** Incorporating smart sensors into pet care products such as water fountains can enhance the accuracy and personalization of pet care for pet owners. - **Internet of Things for Pets:** The Internet of Things is already transforming many industries, and pet care is not an exception, with a focus on creating interconnected devices. ### Where This Applies - **Pet Care Industry:** The pet care industry can benefit significantly from adding smart devices that improve the accuracy, convenience, and hygiene of pet care. - **Consumer Electronics Industry:** The consumer electronics industry can capture growth opportunities through the development of smart pet care devices, such as automatic drinking fountains. - **Artificial Intelligence Industry:** The use of artificial intelligence in pet care products such as smart sensors for pet drinking fountains can enable personalization and improved health for pets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smart Pet-Focused Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enabot.md) - [Pumpless Pet Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pumpless-pet-fountains.md) - [Exterior Dual-Filtration Pet Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-water-fountain.md) - [Modern Pet Water Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-pet-water-fountain.md) - [Water-Purifying Pet Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petcube-2.md) - [Water-Purifying Pet Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dockstream-water-fountain.md) - [Insightful Pet Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dockstream-2-smart-fountain.md) - [Naturalistic Pet Fountains](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lalahome-realfountain.md) - [Self-Monitoring Pet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/always-full-pet-water-bowl.md)
