Whether that means using it for [flushing the toilet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luneup), cleaning the house or certain washing activities, the possibilities are endless. An extremely affordable resource, the water saving system can "save at least 80 liter water/person/day in an average household, which means at least 1.5 billion liter saved water per day in such an 50 million habitant country like Colombia," writes the designer. Conceived by Budapest-based Vasquez Alberto, this particular water saving system takes the complication out of similar alternatives. Especially great for hot countries where people often take multiple showers a day, Gris is essentially a [non-slip floor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zucchetti-bar-59-shower) that captures the water in modules that can easily be taken apart and toted elsewhere. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: South America, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Water Saving Systems:** Gris by Vasquez Alberto Collects Used Shower Water for Other Purposes - **Low-tech Solutions:** Gris simplifies the process of collecting and reusing shower water without complex technology. - **Affordable Water Conservation:** Gris offers an extremely affordable solution to save significant amounts of water in households. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Sustainable Home Technology:** The water saving system industry can develop more innovative solutions like Gris to promote water conservation in homes. - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can integrate Gris or similar water saving systems seamlessly into bathroom designs. - **Environmental Services:** The environmental services industry can leverage Gris to offer water conservation consulting and installation services. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Water-Saving Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alu.md) - [Closed-Loop Bathing Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfall-shower.md) - [Pressure-Sensitive Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-shower-concept.md) - [Instantaneous Hot Water Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heau-shower.md) - [WiFi-Enabled Circular Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circular-shower.md) - [In-Shower Water Meters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-bergvattnet.md) - [Refined Dishwasher Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grifoa-sliding-faucet.md) - [Accessible Shower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessible-showers.md) - [Water-Celebrating Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqua-gallery.md)
