# Moisture-Collecting Plant Canopies The Water Greenhouse Resourcefully Gathers and Reuses H2O By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-12-20 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-greenhouse References: [red-dot.sg](http://www.red-dot.sg/en/online-exhibition/concept/?code=922&y=2013&c=4&a=0) & [admissions.cn](http://www.admissions.cn/uestc/) Part of the water cycle involves the evaporation of liquid for its return to the sky, but the Water Greenhouse has been developed as a way to inhibit that step for the gardener's benefit. This product is a shell that acts as a ceiling for sections of your flower bed, trapping gaseous H2O on the rise. As the moisture condenses inside of the [transparent cover](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/havn), it begins to roll down the curved insides as liquid. The accumulating droplets gradually become a significant enough [water source](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/living-on-groundwater) that can be rained upon your [vegetables and herbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponic-tower) once again. Just lift one side of the Water Greenhouse at a time and the H2O will slip through perforations and onto the leaves and soil below. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Moisture-collecting Plant Canopies:** The Water Greenhouse demonstrates a trend of using innovative designs to collect and reuse moisture for gardening purposes. ### Who This Affects Most - **Agriculture:** The Water Greenhouse presents an opportunity for the agriculture industry to improve water conservation and irrigation methods. - **Sustainable Gardening:** This moisture-collecting canopy offers a disruptive innovation opportunity for the sustainable gardening industry to enhance water efficiency in plant cultivation. - **Environmental Technology:** The development of moisture-collecting plant canopies like the Water Greenhouse aligns with the growing trend of environmental technology, opening up new possibilities for water conservation solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Atmospheric Water Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-atmospheric-water.md) - [Self-Watering Flowerpots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gropot.md) - [Structural Smart Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantafrom-smart-indoor-garden.md) - [Foldable Greenhouse Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-greenhouse-is-your-kitchen.md) - [Self-Watering Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leafypod.md) - [Self-Sustaining Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-hydroponic-indoor-garden.md) - [Drinking Water Home Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atmospheric.md) - [Beetle-Inspired Sustainable Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fog-smart.md) - [Self-Watering Compact Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patella-crescenda.md)
