# Futuristic Shower Concepts The EIKON Touch Water Control System Beckons the Future By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2015-03-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-control-system References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2015/03/05/bougie-fy-your-bathroom/) & [bossini.it](http://www.bossini.it/en) The EIKON Touch Water Control system Bossini is shows us what the future of the shower and bath industry will look like. The system is characterized by a series of [flat shower panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delta-faucets), [stainless steel shower heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerclear) that come in a variety of shapes and sizes, shower columns that can transition between indoor and outdoor use, as well as an RCG ceiling fixture that rains, waterfalls or mists, according to user preference. The aesthetic is minimalist in a way that immediately conjures a feeling of futurism. "The future," this vague, abstract concept we've been discussing for years, metaphorically stoking an invisible fire, is no longer merely upon us; it's here! Luckily, the modern aesthetic is not too overwhelming, allowing the EIKON Touch Water Control system to blend seamlessly with [natural materials and contemporary interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Smart Shower Systems:** Innovative shower and bath systems that utilize advanced touch water control technology and minimalist design aesthetics to offer an immersive and luxurious shower experience for users. - **Outdoor Shower Systems:** Shower columns that can be used for indoor and outdoor use, making it possible to bring the immersive shower experience to outdoor spaces while maximizing the convenience for users. - **Multi-functional Shower Fixtures:** Showers that offer diverse features such as a ceiling fixture that provides various shower experiences like raining, waterfalls, or misting and flat shower panels, in larger sizes and various shapes to provide an immersive and luxurious shower experience for users. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Companies that make bathroom fixtures can use technology to create shower and bath systems that provide an immersive and luxurious shower experience with smart touch technology and minimalist design aesthetics. - **Hospitality Industry:** Hotels and resorts can deploy smart touch-controlled shower systems that offer various shower experiences like raining, waterfall, or misting to provide luxury experiences for guests. - **Outdoor Industry:** Outdoor furniture and fixture makers can create shower columns that can be used for indoor and outdoor use to offer immersive shower experiences in outdoor spaces while maximizing convenience for users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zucchetti-bar-59-shower.md) - [Fully Integrated Smart Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-shower-head.md) - [Immersive Showering Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-showering.md) - [Demure Hand Shower Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bell-jar-shower-head.md) - [Accessible Shower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessible-showers.md) - [Modern Square-Shaped Showerhead Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerhead-designs.md) - [Sharp Ultra-Slender Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-tubo.md) - [Japanese Design Shower Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hitachi-shower-heater.md) - [Cutting-Edge Bathroom Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathroom-design1.md)
