In a curious move that could either be a [guerrilla promo stunt](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mwcurated) or just a project undertaken by die-hard fans, "Watchmen" graffiti has been popping up all over New York City, Toronto and London. While the [street art style](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1) varies from piece to piece, the message is always the same: "Who watches the Watchmen?"

Although this project could conceivably be a well-planned PR stunt, based on the high-profile locations in which these spray-painted "Watchmen" promos appear, David Press of [MTV's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/call-of-duty-beavis-and-butthead) Splash Page blog chalks it up to overzealous fans.
