'Watch Faces' is a new app that provides those who love smart wrist wearables with watch wallpapers that can be customized to their style preferences. While [smart watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/active-2-smartwatch) have a lot of benefits that regular analog watches do not, the one thing they get criticized for is not looking nice. These watch wallpapers change that by providing a way for users to either place preset images provided by the app, or their own photos onto the surface of their [smart wrist jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leather-smartwatch-bands).

In addition to the background picture, overlay images can also be added with the option to customize the color and shape of the overlay -- like a moon, oval or pentagon for instance. This overlay displays the time in a way that stands out against the image.
