Sevin Coskun developed the **[WashUP](http://www.core77.com/competitions/GreenerGadgets/projects/4609)**concept that positioned a washing machine on top of your toilet. The water that's used to clean your clothes is preserved where it can be used later to [flush the toilet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-toilets). Now that's a unique way to [conserve water](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bergvattnet)! It is placed higher off the ground so that stacking of clothes is made much easier. This concept could be a hit among both the environmentally conscious who want to save water and those dealing with the restrictions of small space living. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sustainable Design:** The WashUp concept addresses the need for water conservation and sustainable living by reusing water from clothes washing to flush the toilet. - **Multi-functional Appliances:** The integration of a washing machine and a toilet in the WashUp concept demonstrates the growing trend towards creating appliances that serve multiple purposes. - **Space-saving Solutions:** The WashUp concept caters to the needs of individuals living in small spaces by providing a convenient and efficient way to combine laundry and toilet functions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Appliances:** The home appliance industry can explore opportunities to develop innovative, space-saving appliances that prioritize water conservation and sustainability. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate multi-functional appliances like the WashUp concept into small living spaces, offering both practicality and style. - **Eco-friendly Living:** The eco-friendly living industry can promote and market the WashUp concept as a disruptive innovation that encourages water conservation and reduces the environmental impact of daily activities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flatpack Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collapsible-washing-machine.md) - [Bedroom-Sized Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-drum-washing-machine.md) - [Single-Unit Washer-Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washtower.md) - [Free Standing Laundry Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eeva.md) - [Miniature Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-mini-washing-machine.md) - [Compact Washer-Dryer Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washerdryer-robot.md) - [Portable Mini Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gsoak.md) - [Portable Ultrasonic Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-washing-machine-concept.md) - [Multipurpose Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonertool-portable-washing-machine.md)
