This 'Mad Max Power Wheels' is a DIY project that transforms two second-hand 'Power Wheels' vehicles into a war rig from the post-apocalyptic world of 'Mad Max: Fury Road.' Powered by four electric motors, this [two-seater prop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mod-easy-sidecar-3) also features power steering, a keyed ignition from an electric scooter, an air horn sound effect and can even be controlled remotely via smartphone. The exterior was decorated with cardboard, paint and other materials to capture the iconic look and feel from the world of the films. Four-year-old Cooper plays the role of young 'Max,' and his infant sister Ziggy fills in as a pint-sized 'Imperiator Furiosa.' ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY Vehicle Transformations:** Opportunity for businesses to provide DIY kits and tutorials for transforming existing vehicles into themed or customized vehicles. - **Post-apocalyptic-inspired Accessories:** Demand for unique and customized accessories that capture the aesthetic of post-apocalyptic worlds like 'Mad Max' for both children and adults. - **Remote-controlled Rides:** Growing interest in remote-controlled vehicles that offer advanced features and functionalities, allowing for immersive play experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **DIY Industry:** Disruptive innovation opportunity lies in providing a range of resources, materials, and tutorials for DIY enthusiasts looking to transform or customize their vehicles. - **Children's Toy Industry:** Businesses can explore the creation of themed, interactive toy vehicles that allow children to immerse themselves in their favorite fictional worlds. - **Smartphone App Development:** Opportunity for app developers to create remote-control apps with advanced functionalities that enhance the user experience of remote-controlled vehicles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Life-Sized Electric Toy Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-one-max.md) - [DIY Life-Size Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nd-woodworking-art.md) - [Sustainable EV Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-tikes-cozy-coupe.md) - [Motor-Powered Diwheels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-diwheel.md) - [Opulent Off-Road Kids Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedesbenz-unimog-kids-car.md) - [All-Electric Child ATVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tesla-cyberquad-for-kids.md) - [DIY All-Terrain Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allterrain-tank.md) - [Electric Toddler-Friendly Trikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/droyd-romper.md) - [Old-Fashioned Kiddy Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-bugatti-ii-carbon-edition.md)
