Wanted sex offender billboards are popping up in South Carolina. The billboards don’t state the nature of the offense and are the result of a partnership between Richland County Sheriff’s Department, [U.S. Marshals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skkn-by-kim-1), CrimeStoppers and Lamar Advertising.

The plan is to arrest fugitives who are wanted for failing to register as sex offenders under South Carolina’s law. The first [wanted sex offender billboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-advertising-campaign) feature two men. Once the advertised offenders are captured, new fugitives will replace them.
