# Cable Management Outlets The 'COCO' Wall Jack Coils Loose Wires to Keep Things Looking Neat By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2016-11-10 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-jack References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2016/11/09/a-cable-taming-wall-jack/) Being that we're living in the wireless age, cords and cables are beginning to look more unsightly than ever, so the '[COCO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyperx-3)' wall jack aims to help hide them without the need to tuck them behind furniture or the like. The 'COCO' works by being installed on a wall as an outlet; when an item is plugged in with cord slack to spare, the design pops open to reveal a spindle to wind the cord around. When the cord is loaded, the outlet cover can be popped back into place to hide the cord and keep workstations and homes looking neater than ever. The 'COCO' wall jack is the design work of Kai Wang,Yong Chen, Fu Rao and Liya Gu, and helps to further enhance the notion of organized living. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wireless Devices:** The rise of wireless technology creates an opportunity for cable management solutions like 'COCO' wall jack. - **Smart Home:** 'COCO' wall jack helps in achieving a neater home appearance using a smart and functional approach. - **Minimalism:** The trend towards minimalism in interior designing drives the demand for aesthetically pleasing cable management solutions like 'COCO' wall jack. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can benefit from incorporating cable management solutions like 'COCO' wall jack into the design of their products. - **Real Estate:** 'COCO' wall jack can be incorporated into the design of homes and offices by the real estate industry as a functional and aesthetically pleasing feature to attract customers. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can use 'COCO' wall jack to add functionality and minimalistic design elements to their projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Snapping Cable Management Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wirestax.md) - [Modular Cable Organizer Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cords.md) - [All-in-One Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cord-1.md) - [Wire-Eliminating Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mouse-bungee.md) - [Sleek Charging Cable Wraps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taim.md) - [Design-Conscious Extension Cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/willow-power-supply.md) - [Four-In-One Cable Management Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cable-managements.md) - [Stylish Power Cord Removers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plug-puller.md) - [Progressive Colorful Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lonhub.md)
