Its gears are exposed that slowly move around the clock as time passes. The time is specified by a [fixed arrow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arrowatch) as the labeled numbers gradually rotate past it. **Implications** - It's a [minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-flip-clock) that's effective in its subtlety and would look eye-catching in any home. As the name of the product suggests, the clock takes the shape of a large black gear at 56cm wide. There's also the addition of miniature gears that run the clock and the tiny white-tipped hour handle. The Wall Gear Clock is the perfect piece for the modern home. It's simplistic, yet stylish, which shows that less can be more. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: South America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Exposed Gears:** Opportunity for incorporating exposed gears in product designs for a visually eye-catching and unique aesthetic. - **Minimalist Design:** Chance to create minimalist products that are both effective in function and visually appealing. - **Less Is More:** Opportunity to embrace simplicity in design to create stylish and modern products. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to incorporate exposed gears and minimalist designs in their product lines. - **Clock Manufacturing:** Opportunity for clock manufacturers to create innovative designs with exposed gears and a minimalist aesthetic. - **Product Design:** Opportunity for product designers to explore the concept of 'less is more' and create visually appealing and functional products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mechanical Digital Mesmerizing Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triaxial-numechron-clock.md) - [Concentric Timezone Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analog-wall-clock.md) - [Minimal Sculptural Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trace-line.md) - [Minimal Global Desk-Side Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/world-clock-1.md) - [Two-Sided Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corner-clock.md) - [Pixelated Flip-Style Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniot-klapklok.md) - [Tranquil Asymmetrical Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooj-design-masuno-clock.md) - [Minimal Aluminum Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-clock-1.md) - [Kinetic Pattern Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moir-clock.md)
