# Paint-Removing Power Tools The Wall Eraser Takes the Pain Out of Repainting Projects By Michael Hines | Published 2011-07-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-eraser References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/wall-eraser-by-hojjat-kaffash/) House painters around the world need to start crossing their fingers for Hojjat Kaffash's Wall Eraser to go from concept to reality. The Wall Eraser is a conceptual power tool that strips the paint off of walls and smooths the surface below. The Wall Eraser comes in two versions, manual and automatic, with the automatic option looking a tad too complicated for my tastes. The manual option looks like a [belt sander](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neosander) and seems easier to set up and handle, although these conceptual shots don't give you much to go off of. I believe a device such as the Wall Eraser would empower more people to undertake their own [home improvement projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dremel-blueprint-multidrill) as opposed to hiring help to complete simple yet monotonous and maddening tasks such as [stripping paint from a wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loklik-ipaint).
