# Perfect Pixar Pastries The Wall-E Cake Looks Like it Has Waltzed Right Out of the Movie By Meghan Young | Published 2010-12-01 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-e-cake References: [gizmo.do](http://gizmo.do/gvhLoT) & [charmcitycakes](http://www.charmcitycakes.com/) At first, I couldn't believe that this Wall-E Cake was in fact a cake. Incredibly realistic (as far as animations go, of course), these two lovable character cakes look like they just walked straight out of the TV and into our sugar-coated lives. Created by [Charm City Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baltimorean-blonde-ales), this Wall-E Cake is perfect for a child's birthday party. I think I may have to save this image in the hopes that I can find a bakery close to home that's able to replicate it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Realistic Character Cakes:** Opportunity for bakeries to create highly realistic character cakes that bring animated characters to life. - **Hyperrealistic Food Art:** Opportunity for artists to create hyperrealistic food art, blurring the line between reality and illusion. - **Interactive Food Designs:** Opportunity for food designers to create interactive food designs that engage and surprise consumers. ### Where This Applies - **Bakery:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for bakeries to develop expertise in creating realistic character cakes. - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for artists to explore hyperrealistic food art as a new art form. - **Food Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for food designers to push the boundaries of interactive and visually appealing food creations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Space-Themed Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacethemed-dessert.md) - [Balloon Dog Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-dog-cake.md) - [Dual-Flavor Movie-Inspired Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wicked-celebration-cake.md) - [Game-Themed Cake Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/among-us-impostor-cake.md) - [Animated Movie Baked Goods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lolas-and-disney.md) - [Vegan Caterpillar-Shaped Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegan-caterpillar-cakes.md) - [Cardboard-Resembling Illusion Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-cake.md) - [Collaboration Anime Cake Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ginza-cozy-corner.md) - [Colorful Doll-Topped Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-cakes.md)
