Consisting of two separate elements, the unit has a console that mounts flush against the wall as well as a [taller shelf section](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-shelf-pro) that fits right above the desk. Attaching to the wall means this table will take up as little room as possible, maximizing office or bedroom space without forcing the user to work on a cluttered surface. With only two legs, the user feels as if they are at a spacious work station, creating a more comfortable environment. The 'Hold On' wall desk shelf can be used as a single unit or as two separate components. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Two-in-one Furniture:** There is an opportunity for furniture companies to create multi-functional products like Xavier Lust's 'Hold On' wall desk shelf. - **Space-saving Products:** As homes and apartments become smaller, there is a need for more space-saving options in the furniture industry. - **Minimalist Design:** There is a growing trend towards minimalist design in furniture that maximizes function and minimizes space usage. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can develop two-in-one products like the 'Hold On' wall desk shelf to appeal to consumers who live in small spaces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can use minimalist design furniture like the 'Hold On' wall desk shelf to create functional living spaces. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers can market space-saving furniture like the 'Hold On' wall desk shelf as a selling point for smaller apartments or office spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Storage-Packed Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-x-shelf-x-self-table.md) - [Vertical Home Office Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leandesk.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md) - [Space-Saving Foldable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-desk1.md) - [Minimally Refined Wall Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-desk-1.md) - [Practical Rotating Wall Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolver-wallmounted-desk.md) - [Leaning Portable Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leandesk.md) - [Bookcase-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-wall-side-table.md) - [Storage-Managing Desk Extenders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pegmag-system.md)
