Your priority might be to prevent ring stains, burn marks and food remnants from settling into your eating surface, but you can accomplish this with items that look cool. Rocket Design of Italy presents this set of six pads that have been illustrated to take on the appearance of [giant cassette tapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cp81). Their features are simplified and color-blocked to create iconic images that pop in red, green, yellow and blue. "Road Mix" is scribbled across the top of each of the Walkmats to give these [large coasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusine-coasters) a further relaxed quality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Retro Design:** Opportunity for innovative products that combine nostalgia and functionality. - **Creative Tableware:** Opportunity for unique and artistic table accessories that enhance dining experiences. - **Sustainable Materials:** Opportunity for eco-friendly place mats made from recycled or biodegradable materials. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Innovative designs for home decor products that add a touch of nostalgia to everyday essentials. - **Hospitality:** Opportunity for hotels and restaurants to offer unique and memorable dining experiences with creative tableware. - **Environmental Sustainability:** Development of sustainable materials for various industries, including eco-friendly table accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nostalgic Retro Music Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-mixtape-kit.md) - [Customizable All-Purpose Floor Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-floor-mat.md) - [Retro Colorful Turntable Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brad-retro-mkii-turntable.md) - [Color Block Table Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jaunt-tabletop-collection.md) - [Millennium-Inspired Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gadhouse-cosmo-solar-edition.md) - [Patterned Retro Flooring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-newstalgia.md) - [Cassette-Inspired Music Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-audio-player.md) - [Eye-Catching Tabletop Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tabletop-design.md) - [Wine-Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/placemat-hightop-table.md)
