The microwave features rounded corners that are different from the squared-off models presently on the market and boasts a [swinging door](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-gtebo-microwave-oven) that will open completely when a meal is ready to eat. The door will remove the dish with it to eliminate the need for the user to put their hands into the unit for a more intuitive, thoughtful user experience. The conceptual 'Waiter' microwave is finished with a see-through top section instead of having a window on the door to let operators see the progress when the appliance is in use. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Intuitive Microwaves:** The 'Waiter' Microwave by Keereem Lee eliminates the need for the user to put their hands into the unit for a more intuitive user experience. - **Serving Appliances:** The 'Waiter' Microwave by Keereem Lee serves meals upon completion, creating an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the serving appliances industry. - **Modern Microwave Design:** The 'Waiter' Microwave by Keereem Lee features rounded corners and a swinging door, bringing modern design trends to the microwave industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Appliances:** The 'Waiter' Microwave by Keereem Lee is an innovative appliance design that could disrupt the microwave industry. - **Kitchenware:** The 'Waiter' Microwave by Keereem Lee brings innovation to the kitchenware industry, specifically in regards to serving appliances. - **Microwave Manufacturing:** The 'Waiter' Microwave by Keereem Lee's modern design could create a disruptive shift in the manufacturing of microwaves and encourage other manufacturers to prioritize design innovation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sliding Microwave Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microwave-design.md) - [Wave-Blocking Microwave Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winia-range-pop-microwave-oven.md) - [Smartwatch-Inspired Portable Microwaves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campo-portable-microwave.md) - [Collapsible Microwave Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-microwave.md) - [Dual-Orientation Countertop Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwo-oven-and-multicooker.md) - [Hybrid Heating Countertop Cookers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-cooker.md) - [Monochromatic Handle-Hiding Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hide-oven.md) - [Oven-Like Microwave Cooking Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rangemate.md) - [Shapeshifting Restaurant Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-table-service-robot.md)
