The W Magazine Tom Cruise feature for June 2012 reinforces a well-known fact about the celebrity-turned-rockstar in the upcoming movie Rock of ages: he's a bit eccentric. With widely publicized stunts, including jumping on a couch while being interviewed by Oprah, the latest wild Tom Cruise news is actually professionally related.

Starring in the upcoming movie Rock of Ages, which is set to release on June 15th, the star already has a bit of a rock'n'roll edge. As a promotion for the movie, Cruise was photographed in full Rock of Ages make up and hair for the W Magazine cover alongside models Abbey Lee Kershaw and Edita Vilkeviciute.

Having seen Cruise in a variety of roles ranging from classic Jerry McGuire to Top Gun to Mission Impossible, this is a very different new look for him. Singing, dancing and rocking out in Rock of Ages, Cruise embarks on a new career move with this film.
