Since then, there has been little information on the status of this retro-themed electric microbus. Now, in 2022, Volskwagen has greenlit the ID Buzz concept bus for production, which is slated to arrive in 2023. The batteries of the ID Buzz will be mounted under the floor of the vehicle, which allows for more freedom of frame customization from Volskwagen.
