# Pill-Shaped Pen Holders Liam de la Bedoyere Designs the Void Pen Pot with a Resting Space By Amy Duong | Published 2024-05-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/void-pen-pot References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2024/05/06/odd-pen-holder-has-a-unique-way-to-showcase-your-favorite-writing-tool/) & [boredeye.design](https://www.boredeye.design/) Liam de la Bedoyere designed the Void Pen Holder, which is a unique [pill-shaped structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/void-hair-dryer) meant to [hold pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumpstuder-pencil-holders). It is defined by its hole right in the middle. The hole is centered and normally, this concept contradicts the visual aesthetic and shape but the way that the Void Pen Holder cuts through in a clean manner contributes to the aesthetic. It is also a functional addition that provides a resting space for the most used pencil or pen. It also works as an [integrated divider](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tower-desk1) that allows it to group the pens into two sections. This means that it contributes to maximizing the space, especially the area that is above and below the space created by the hole.
