# Swirling Sculptured Playgrounds Caracool Slides Children to Spiraling Wonderland By Alexandra Choli | Published 2009-01-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivid-sculptured-playgrounds-caracool-slides-children-to-wonderland References: [hitslot](http://hitslot.com/?p=203&akst_action=share-this) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Caracool-Playground/61743) Indulge your childrens’ imaginations and adventurous pursuits with a [brilliant playground](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boulder-park) designed by Joel Escalona, Caracool. The joyful concept subtly incorporates a [spacious slide](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-and-nike) energised by stripes of bright pink, blue, green or even black color. The shape resembles an ice-cream scoop serving, or a giant sea wave, and allows for smooth playing areas and hiding places - true eye-candy for the hyper-active juniors. The [vibrant sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-sculptures) are made out of glass fiber, or alternatively wood, and can be adopted in a variety of settings including private gardens, hotels or even in a park. A Greek interpretation of the name Caracool resembles “much too cool”, and so it seems to be; even I wouldn’t mind a test-slide on these curves. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sculptured Playgrounds:** Designing playgrounds with creative and unique shapes and features that will capture children's imaginations and promote outdoor activities, while also being pleasing to the eye. - **Fiber Art Installations:** Creating unique and visually appealing sculptures and art installations out of fiber glass material, opening up opportunities for public art displays and creative advertising campaigns. - **Colorful Architecture:** Using bold and bright colors in the design of architecture and public spaces to add a pop of color and excitement to the surrounding environment. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Playground Equipment:** Innovating and upgrading playground equipment for both public and private spaces to create more engaging and visually interesting play areas for children. - **Art Installations:** Creating fiber glass art installations in public spaces such as parks, plazas, and shopping centers to add a unique and eye-catching element to the environment. - **Architecture:** Incorporating bright colors and unique shapes into building design to create visually stunning structures that enhance the surrounding environment and promote tourism and commercial usage. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Abstract Colorfully Vibrant Playscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wired-scape.md) - [Structural Energetic Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archipelago-playscape.md) - [Heritage Sound Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hornscape-playground.md) - [Nature-Inspired Indoor Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sarit-shani-hay.md) - [Explorative Artwork Playground Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cuddly-playground.md) - [Generational-Lasting Dynamic Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mike-hewson-2.md) - [Vibrantly Pink Skelter Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stay-playful.md) - [Landmark-Inspired Sleek Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doha-modern-playground.md) - [Futuristic Glowing Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joya-1.md)
