# Modular Acrylic Decor Shelves The Vitrine Shelf by the Napp Studio Puts Home Essentials on Display By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2019-03-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vitrine-shelf References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/vitrine-shelf-elegant-modular-acrylic-shelf-for-artist-books-library/) & [nappstudio](https://nappstudio.com/) The shift towards [minimalism within the interior design market](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balolo-setup-cockpit) is leaving less space within a home for items to be hidden, which is seeing new solutions like the Vitrine Shelf be designed to instead put things on display. The shelf table has an elegant aesthetic that is achieved with [acrylic material for the top section](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modulo-collection) along with hand-brushed stainless steel for the base to convey an industrial look. The adjustable design allows items of various sizes and shapes to be stored within it to put them on display instead of hiding them away, which is usually the case in many living areas. The Vitrine Shelf is the design work of the Napp [Studio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1) and can be used in many different orientations as a display case, table or even bench. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalist Interior Design:** The growing trend of minimalism in interior design is creating a demand for innovative ways to display home essentials. - **Modular Furniture:** The rise of modular furniture designs offers opportunities for disruptive innovation in maximizing storage and display capabilities. - **Industrial Aesthetics:** The increasing popularity of industrial aesthetics in home decor creates a market for innovative and visually appealing storage solutions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can explore new possibilities in creating functional yet stylish storage solutions that align with minimalist trends. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can capitalize on the demand for modular furniture by designing versatile pieces with flexible storage and display options. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can attract customers by offering industrial-inspired storage solutions that serve both practical and aesthetic purposes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Style-Conscious Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledoux-modular-shelf-system.md) - [Dynamic Storage-Display Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life.md) - [Modular Configuration Shelving Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repisa-01.md) - [Room-Dividing Bookshelf Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frquence-shelf.md) - [Versatile Modern Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utility-shelf.md) - [Progressive Storage Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledoux-prt-collection.md) - [Modular Contemporary Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv.md) - [Handle-Equipped Planter Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-plant-shelf.md) - [Modular Decor Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halblang-blendend.md)
