# Whirling Web Tables The Un-Deux-Trois Table by Vito Selma Makes Spiders Jealous By Jessica Marcel | Published 2010-02-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vito-selma References: [mocoloco](http://mocoloco.com/fresh2/2010/02/13/undeuxtrois-table-by-vito-selma.php) & [vitoselma.blogspot](http://vitoselma.blogspot.com/) The Un-Deux-Trois Table by Vito Selma is reminiscent of a carefully crafted spiderweb. The edges of the table form a strong frame within which exists a [spiraling, twirling magnificent string form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumble-tables). Vito Selma also used strings to form his [Geo Cocktail Table](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geo-cocktail-table). While that table relied on the strings for the legs, the Un-Deux-Trois Table instead has the strings as a purely aesthetic addition. **Implications** - The Un-Deux-Trois Table means one, two, three in the French language. The frame of the table is colored in black, while the strings are a golden color. Vito Selma's unique table would make a great [statement furniture piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monumental-table) in any home's living room. When looking at the table from above, the strings make out a [gorgeous pattern](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solis-collection). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **String Tables:** Creating tables with unique string designs can offer a visually stunning addition to home furniture. - **Aesthetic Furniture:** Incorporating purely aesthetic features into furniture design can provide a unique selling point. - **Inspiration From Nature:** Drawing inspiration from natural structures, like spiderwebs, can lead to innovative and visually stunning design projects. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Innovative string design can be applied to a wide range of furniture pieces, offering a unique selling point for brands in this industry. - **Home Decor:** Aesthetic furniture pieces like the Un-Deux-Trois Table can provide a statement piece for home decor retailers looking to offer unique products. - **Artistic Design:** Designers looking to experiment with natural inspirations like spiderwebs can create visually stunning and memorable artistic pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Accent Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-table.md) - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Optically-Designed Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigma-coffee-tables.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md) - [Puzzling Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linked-side-table.md) - [Modern Customizable Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-design.md) - [Ultra-Minimalist Metallic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whisk.md) - [Elegant Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-table.md) - [Herringbone-Inspired Wooden Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herringbone-table.md)
