The recent release of this [comic strip series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alterego-the-official-comic) is a perfect example of his eccentric style. The series follows two characters in a [post-apocalyptic world](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/junji-ito-artwork). The main character of the series is 'The Captain,' whose looming militarian appearance is offset by his hopeless romanticism.
