A sentiment written by the photographer, Mikko Lagerstedt, it focuses on a beautiful juxtaposition that is older than time. Without one, the other can't exist. This sense of urgency is uniquely captured via serene scenes. Bright constellations light up the [dark night skies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky) in the Visions of Depth photo series. Reflecting in still pools of water, each image is alive with a [glowing aura](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-collection-1) many people will find themselves wishing they could witness in person. Granted, there's a surreal element to the Visions of Depth series that will encourage people to dream about these places. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/fashion) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/stylephotography) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Starry Night Photography:** Opportunity for camera manufacturers and photography equipment providers to enhance low light photography capabilities to capture stunning images of celestial objects. - **Surreal Landscape Photography:** Opportunity for travel and tourism industry to promote unique and awe-inspiring natural landscapes as a tourist attraction. - **Light and Dark Contrast Photography:** Opportunity for print and online publishers to showcase high-contrast and dramatic photography in their editorial and marketing materials. ### Who This Affects Most - **Camera Manufacturing:** Innovation opportunity to develop high-performance low light cameras that can capture stunning night photos. - **Travel and Tourism:** Innovation opportunity to promote unique natural landscapes that showcase the surreal beauty of the world. - **Publishing:** Innovation opportunity to showcase dramatic and high-contrast photography in editorial and promotional materials to grab viewer's attention. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [Ethereal Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peter-kovacsy.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Emotional Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection.md) - [Immersive Light Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spencer-finch.md) - [Chalk Streams Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/british-conceptual-landscape-photographer.md) - [Immersive Space Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-the-light.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md)
