# Websites That Help With Virtual Stalking 123People.com By Bianca | Published 2008-10-15 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-stalking-123people References: [123people](http://www.123people.com) Admit, you've done some virtual stalking before. A virtual love interest perhaps? A quick search to see what your arch enemy from high school is up to these days? A search of yourself? 123people.com aims to make that process easier. Type in the information you know, even if it's just a name (provided the person in question isn't a John Smith) and the people search engine pulls up an intensive collection of information fit for a stalker. A quick 123people.com search of myself revealed a whole lot more about me than I thought was on the web. I have a fairly unique name, although it did pull up results pertaining to a few strangers. Results include: - Photos - Microblogs ([Twitter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dozenleads), ICQ) - Phone numbers (not mine!) - Email addresses (none are mine) - Videos - Blogs - Documents - Biography - Social network profiles (Faceboo, [LinkedIN](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/companygpt-20), ZoomInfo) - [Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-tryon-for-online) - News ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Virtual Stalking:** 123people.com is an example of a website that facilitates virtual stalking by aggregating a comprehensive collection of personal information about individuals. ### Where This Applies - **People Search Engines:** Websites like 123people.com are disrupting the online search industry by catering to the demand for personal information and virtual stalking. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Email Discovery Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emailspy.md) - [AI Face Searches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/findthatface.md) - [Mystery Search Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mystery-search.md) - [Time-Traveling Internet Searches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/search-a-year.md) - [Anti-Stalking App Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tile.md) - [Username Intelligence Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ileak.md) - [Facial Research Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/introthem.md) - [Online Privacy Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deleteme.md) - [Browser Updated Privacy Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-search-1.md)
