Japanese company ‘Virtual Circuit’ has completely stripped and re-outfitted this Porsche 996 GT3 to experience driving this vehicle within a closed-circuit track. To recreate the experience, a team of professional drivers offered experience to the engineers to make this experience nearly replicated. The car is mounted in front of a 7 meter wide HD screen that apparently “gives the brain the sense that what is being looked at is actual road and scenery, not a screen.” This experience includes the car’s handling, gear shifts, and so forth.
