# 3D Virtual Dating 'Real Girlfriend' by Crazy Japan Comes to Life with 3D Glasses By Sai Solana | Published 2009-12-02 | Naughty Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-girlfriend-pc-game References: [siliconera](http://www.siliconera.com/2009/11/22/move-over-love-plus-real-girlfriend-has-face-tracking-and-3d-images/) & [siliconera](http://www.siliconera.com) Crazy Japan is at it again with a [virtual girlfriend PC game](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animaview) called “Real Girlfriend.” Put on [3D glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-classics-virtual-boy) (the old red and blue kind found at Disneyland) and she leaps out of the screen. The [3D bikini model](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benefit-cosmetics-2) is so real you can almost… almost touch her. You can’t though, she’s in a game. Add a webcam and you can interact with your virtual love by nodding your head as if you were having a real conversation, listening to her ask why you’re spending all day on the computer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 84% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Naughty](https://www.trendhunter.com/naughty) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **3D Virtual Dating:** The trend of using 3D technology to create realistic virtual dating experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Gaming:** There is an opportunity for the gaming industry to develop more immersive and interactive virtual dating games using 3D technology. - **Technology:** The technology industry can explore the potential of incorporating 3D glasses and webcams into virtual dating experiences. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can leverage 3D virtual dating as a new form of interactive and engaging content. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bizarre Dating Sim Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/date-everything.md) - [VR Dating Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flirtual.md) - [VR-Based Dating Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nevermet.md) - [Headset-Free 3D Gaming Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acer-spatiallabs-truegame.md) - [AI-Powered Dating Simulators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-game-game.md) - [Personalized Digital Dating Rooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-spaces-for-singles.md) - [Real-Time Hologram Applications](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holoport.md) - [Extended Reality Gaming Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtue-one.md) - [3D Holographic Game Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vividq-call-of-duty.md)
