Sega was once one of the ubiquitous console developers in the world, competing with the legendary [Nintendo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-game-consoles-1) at the height of their popularity. These laptop designs celebrate the actual console designs of Sega's [Genesis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anicorn-x-sega-megadrivegenesis), Saturn and [Dreamcast](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/higround-x-sega) consoles, as well as a more generic blue Sega model. The laptops are available in four different power configurations ranging in price from $1,069 to $2,081(USD). The bad news? These vintage console laptops are only available, but should be attainable through importation if you're a Sega fan living outside of the land of the rising sun. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Vintage Console-inspired Laptops:** Opportunity for companies to create and sell laptops that pay homage to classic gaming consoles. - **Nostalgia Gaming:** Opportunity for game developers to create and release nostalgic video games on vintage console-inspired laptops. - **Retro Tech Revival:** Opportunity for tech companies to revive and modernize retro gaming consoles for a new generation of gamers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Gaming:** Gaming companies can partner with laptop manufacturers to create limited edition gaming laptops inspired by vintage consoles. - **Tech:** Tech companies can explore the market for nostalgic technology by producing retro-themed gadgets. - **Import/export:** Opportunity for import/export companies to serve Sega fans outside of Japan by importing the vintage console-inspired laptops. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collaboration Gaming Console Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anicorn-x-sega-megadrivegenesis.md) - [Miniature Retro Game Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-game-consoles-1.md) - [Nostalgic Miniature Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astro-mini-city-v.md) - [Nostalgic Retro-Style Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sega-mega-drive-mini-2.md) - [Pocket-Sized Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/segadbs.md) - [Retro Cartoon Tech Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/higround-x-sega.md) - [Nostalgic 90s-Inspired Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analogue-3d-funtastic.md) - [90s-Inspired PC Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maingear-retro98.md) - [Retro-Inspired PC Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro95.md)
