Japanese chef Ken Kawasumi shows off his recreation of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers series at an event celebrating the release of his book"The most simple way to make [decorative sushi-rolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pink-sushi-rolls)' in Japan". Predictably, Kawasuni's Sunflowers rendition is made entirely of sushi and something tells me this [sushi work of art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/7-paintings-the-art-of-dining) may not fetch the [tens of millions of dollars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mischief-by-chester) van Gogh's art commands. But who knows.

**Implications** - In today's society, an effective way to garner the attention of consumers is by using familiar concepts or ideas. Consumers will be immediately drawn to the products with which they are able to share a connection or relate a previous personal experience. Businesses who utilize familiarity will appear as more approachable than other companies.
