The main standout feature is the front dock, which is big enough for a camp out! The architects of the home said it was a challenge to build this home on the rocky terrain, but nevertheless the task was done. The 'Villa Mecklin' by Huttunen–Lipasti–Pakkanen Architect also has a decently sized living area. **Implications** - Though it initially appears small, it only takes a few steps in to realize that Villa Mecklin is home to long vistas and the expansive and gorgeous landscape of the western shore. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dock Homes with Spacious Design:** Designing homes with spacious dock areas provides a unique and versatile living experience. - **Integration of Landscape in Home Design:** Incorporating the natural landscape into home design creates a harmonious and visually stunning living environment. - **Challenges of Building on Rocky Terrain:** Overcoming the obstacles of constructing homes on rocky terrain opens up new possibilities for innovative and resilient architecture. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Construction:** Architects and construction companies can explore innovative designs and techniques for building dock homes with spacious areas. - **Real Estate and Property Development:** Real estate professionals and property developers can capitalize on the trend of integrating the landscape into home design to create unique and appealing properties. - **Landscaping and Outdoor Design:** Landscaping and outdoor design companies can offer their expertise in creating seamless transitions between the built environment and the surrounding natural landscape. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cottage-Like Luxurious Villas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-mountain-tiny-villa.md) - [Thoughtful Lakeside Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakeside-living.md) - [Modern Floating Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pura-vida-floating-home.md) - [Serene Heartwarming Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-minimale.md) - [Sleek Compact Floating Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blatto-boat.md) - [Organic Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diachok-architects.md) - [Meadow-Overlooking Sleek Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac-1.md) - [Dolphin-Shaped Tranquil Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dolphin-villa.md) - [Boat Design-Inspired Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/three-mile-harbor.md)
