The home has a blind front-facing facade that gives it a [monolithic, stern appearance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-catedral) from the street, but on the inside it has [floor-to-ceiling windows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-brick-house) on every other wall, giving its occupants a spectacular view of the surrounding area. On the interior, Villa Agava is as clean and modern as it looks from the exterior. The home is bathed almost entirely in white, save for walnut panelling that covers a central, foundational column. The choice of white is fitting, as the shade's high albedo is perfect for keeping buildings cool under the hot Moroccan sun. Villa Agava was designed by Driss Ketani Architects. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Privacy-enhancing Architecture:** There is an opportunity for architects and designers to explore innovative ways to create privacy-enhancing buildings that still allow for natural light and views. - **Monolithic Design:** The concept of monolithic design can be expanded upon, with opportunities to create visually striking exteriors that contrast with light-filled interiors. - **White Minimalism:** The use of white as a dominant color in architecture can provide a cool and clean aesthetic, while also reflecting sunlight to keep buildings cooler. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Design:** The architecture and design industry can explore new approaches to privacy-enhancing and visually striking buildings. - **Construction:** The construction industry can adopt innovative techniques and materials to create monolithic designs and incorporate white minimalism into buildings. - **Sustainable Building:** Sustainable building practices can be integrated with the monolithic design concept, combining energy-efficient features with visually impactful aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cliffside Minimalist Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa.md) - [Compact White-Painted Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whitepainted-modern-home.md) - [Patio-Centering Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-tres-patis.md) - [Panoramic Terraced Villas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-95.md) - [Robust Monolithic Walled Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-1736.md) - [Pavilion-Style Art Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house.md) - [Serene Desert Villa Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/al-mahra.md) - [Frameless Glass Twin Villas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/achiot.md) - [Minimal Ocean-Overlooking Villas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/achiot-villas.md)
