With PeekInToo, users can search by events or simply select a marker on the map. The structure of the PeekInToo app is one that takes something like the essence of [Vine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/divine-app) or [Instagram](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-shorts) video and give the second-long clips a time, place and context. “Peekers” can immerse themselves into destinations they’ve yet to travel to, by requesting peeks into specific areas, in the hopes that a member located in that area will provide. Video sharing on PeekInToo can be completely anonymous, but there is also the option to connect other social accounts to the app. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Anonymous Video Sharing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a video-sharing app that prioritizes anonymity, allowing users to share snippets of their lives without revealing their identity. - **Global Video Exchange:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a platform that enables users to exchange short video snippets with people from different parts of the world, offering a glimpse into various cultures and events. - **Contextualized Video Content:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Build an app that combines short video clips with specific time, place, and context, allowing users to explore different locations virtually. ### Who This Affects Most - **Social Media Platforms:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Transform traditional social media platforms by incorporating anonymous video-sharing features, offering users an alternative way to connect and share their experiences. - **Travel and Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a video-sharing app specifically designed for travelers, enabling them to virtually explore destinations before visiting and connect with locals for recommendations. - **Entertainment and Content Creation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a platform that combines short video clips with curated content, transforming the way people consume media and providing a new avenue for content creators to showcase their work. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Visual Chat Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picnow.md) - [Social Vlogging Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vlogging-app.md) - [Authenticity-Promoting Social Media Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/viberse-app.md) - [Private Video Sharing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/video-sharing1.md) - [Anonymous Social Wellness Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/social-wellness1.md) - [Trailer-Making Life Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moments.md) - [Invite-Only Social Medias](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lapse.md) - [Video-Enabled Dating Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candid-dating-app.md) - [Safe Stranger Chat Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whisperly-app.md)
