The apartment is part of [Airbnb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sex-and-the-city-airbnb), which means tourist and travelers can spend some quality time inside the real Super Mario world. The two bedroom apartment, including one magical Princess Peach bedroom and a [video games console](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nike-air-snes), is covered from floor to ceiling in all things Super Mario. There are question mark block lamps and tissue holders, as well as projectile flowers, cute toadstools and 1-ups. The kitchen is fully decked out with a mushroom table and [Nintendo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rainbow-road)-inspired cutlery, cups and plates. Much of the nostalgic items were purchased, but others, like the tchotchkes, were crafted and hand painted by the apartment's owner, Parker. Every piece of the apartment was carefully selected and placed to transport visitors through a surreal, polka dot-infused, whimsical journey into Super Mario World. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Video Game-themed Lodging:** Opportunities for offering immersive themed accommodations that cater to gamers and video game enthusiasts. - **Retro/geek Chic Home Decor:** Growing demand for unique and unconventional home decor that reflects personal interests and hobbies. - **DIY Nostalgic Memorabilia:** Emerging market for handcrafted, vintage-inspired home accents. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hospitality:** Integrating themed lodging options to attract gamers and appeal to pop culture interests. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating nostalgic and geeky elements in interior design and decor. - **Craft and Hobby:** Capitalizing on the DIY trend by offering personalized items and retro-inspired crafts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Video Game Character Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toadstool-cafe.md) - [Animated Game-Inspired Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rainbow-road.md) - [Cozy Video Game Loungewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-meets-gelato-pique.md) - [Retro Gaming Room Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-gaming-box.md) - [Video Game Travel Merchandise](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-super-mario-travel-items.md) - [Gaming Console Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-cart-coffe-table.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pac-man-side-table.md) - [Video Game-Themed Sauces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/truffle-infused-hot-sauces.md) - [Video Game-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunscreen-mist.md)
