The lamp has an almost ambiguous construction that includes an upright rectangular block for the base that leads up to the hemispherical portion. The lamp is accented by a speckled texture for enhanced visual appeal, while the light will shine upwards through the entire body of the decor piece to give it a decidedly artistic appearance from afar. The light comes from the aluminum base and can be controlled via a peripheral knob. Gardam spoke on the 'Vestige' lamp saying, "Intentionally ambiguous, the brutalist-inspired sculptural form reveals its archetype when illuminated. Vestige celebrates the allure, texture, and volume of glass." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 16% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Industrial Lighting Design:** With the rise of Brutalist design aesthetics, the opportunity for industrial-inspired lighting designs has increased. - **Ambiguous Sculptural Forms:** Designers can take advantage of the ambiguous look of a sculptural form, waiting to be illuminated to reveal its true archetype. - **Enhanced Visual Appeal:** The use of texture to add visual appeal to decor pieces can be a successful strategy for product designers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can look to incorporate Brutalist-inspired design aesthetics for lighting fixtures and decor pieces. - **Industrial Design:** With the rising popularity of Brutalism, there is an opportunity for industrial designers to create stunning and unique lighting fixtures. - **Luxury Lighting:** Luxury lighting brands can incorporate texture and unique lighting features to create one-of-a-kind pieces for consumers looking for high-end decor options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ethereal Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peter-kovacsy.md) - [Brutalist-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vector-series.md) - [Minimal Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/takeout-lamp.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Illusory Brick Wall Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/og-brick-lamp.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md)
